I really like this show but some of the dialogue is getting too quirky for me, like the whole interaction with Gaby and new Derek. I also hate the baby storyline. Someone who never wanted kids just magically changes their mind after a few people tell them they’ll love having kids is unbelievable. It’s giving B99.

I want things to get better for Sean. 😔

Interested to see how the Brett storyline develops.

The entire baby plot with Brian is super annoying. First it was “neither of us want kids.” Then that turned into was “actually Brian’s husband wants kids.” From there it just got absurd.

Everyone telling Brian to just give in and have kids because it’s inevitable (Liz) and you’ll love it (Jimmy) immediately convincing him to meet with an adoption counselor was both dismissive and ridiculous. Explaining it all away with “my dad sucked so I am afraid I will be a terrible parent” was overly simplistic and reductive.

I loathe how many tv shows and movies have a character who doesn’t want kids quickly change their mind because everyone tells them that they’re wrong. Some people actually DO NOT want children and that’s a valid choice.

All of this. They should’ve done the opposite instead, where Brian’s husband realizes he likes their life and doesn’t need/want to add kids to it after all.

yeah, it was really weirdly done. they flew through it so fast that i don't even get why they added it in? they could have just as easily both wanted kids but had to talk about if the time was right and the rest would've basically been the same without annoying me.

Echoing the comments about Brian changing his mind about having kids after talking to two people. I always feel weirdly betrayed when CF characters change their minds about having kids lol. I know it happens all the time irl but still.

I loved the scenes with Harrison Ford and Kelly Bishop, two absolute legends. I love Liz but Christa Miller's face makes me sad. Jimmy remains the least interesting character on the show.

Betrayed is so right. Let us live! It’s bad enough dealing with people irl condescend to us about how we’ll change our minds (not happening).

The show this week and I really like it! Although I don’t know if I will remember to keep checking for it. But that’s more of an Apple TV issue.

Cougar Town guest star!!! Bill really keeps his former cast members booked. I wonder if Donald Faison will turn up at some point. Even though they have crushed their beef, Judy Reyes is a series regular in something else, so I doubt she will pop up.

Now wondering who else I want to see from the Bill Lawrence universe in this? anyone from Spin City shown up yet?

The end had me annoyed and stressed out. Can the dad walk off to the nearest train graveyard?
