Cardi B

No need to nasty, y’all picked your winner…All we can do is be hopeful and wish the best. Before Kamala joined the race, we knew how this country is set up and what was probably going to happen but it was so inspiring how she fought and changed so many minds, including mine. pic.twitter.com/pj05rnKY57

I can’t believe I have to spend the next 4+ years hearing about him on a daily basis.

Even when he lost it never ceased so I doubt it would’ve this time. Short of him taking a permanent vacation we will keep hearing about him.

the pearl clutching moments of "can you believe he said THIS??" days are over. It is what it is. I just hope its not a daily talking-heads round table on the news networks of him after January.

I literally have not stopped crying all day.

Or drinking.

I have never felt this numb in my entire life-- and that's saying something.

I woke up at 7:30 A.M. and made sure to call out for my 9:30 A.M. "shift". There is no way I can reasonably respond to other people today, let alone here in Tennessee.

I called in about that same time (CST) and told my boss I'd need to WFH today because I was in no condition to be around other people and he very grimly responded, I understand.

Jackass though he may be at times, he's still ostensibly fairly left leaning (as well as the father of exclusively daughters) and I'm sure he's none too happy either. I'm glad he gets it.

Jack Antonoff posted something nice to his IG stories.

Going through waves of numbness and grief.

This feels worse than 2016 in a way because people cannot pretend they don’t know what kind of president he will be.

Like the fact that people who worked directly under him were against his nomination- we know he is terrible.

All I can say is sexism and racism really have a hold over so many that they are beyond reason.

A lot of people wanted an end to genocide. They promised that Biden/Dems wouldn't get the vote if they continued to fund and supply and support it.

No one thought it would make a difference. Oh but it did.

Something's gotta give, is what I'm saying. This 2-party system is the worst and I cannot understand why everyone acknowledges this fact but nothing changes.

Single issue voters will be the bane of the USA, I swear.

The number of people delusional enough to think that a Republican President wouldn't immediately give Israel another billion dollar package in cash and weapons is... stunningly naive. "But I'm not voting Republican!" Voting Independent/third party in a Presidential election *is* giving the Republicans a vote! You guys don't have a preferential ballot system! You're literally cutting off your nose to spite your face!

You realize third-party voters didn't do this, right? Even if you add their vote to hers, she was far from winning. Votes are earned. She ignored her core constituents to chase after people who had little to no interest in her platform. She disregarded the many ways the people she was supposed to represent tried to be heard. This is on the Democrats.

I cried two thug tears last night before I went to bed but got back to business today. I'm not surprised that white supremacy and the Democratic party being terrible led us to this result. I've decided to sit firmly to the side on politics the next few years because I am extremely tired as a Black woman for always voting on the right side and having my choices being dictated by racist white men, dumb white women, and anti Black minorities.
