my friend-in-law (my friend's bestie) made my friend an advent calendar with a bunch of little ceramic pieces she had made (she's a very talented and crafty lady), which was super cool. these commercial/mass produced advent calendars i just don't get, they're always an overpriced disappointment.

I'll be shocked if the witcher pin isn't just Geralt's medallion

I was quite sick recently and somehow went down the advent calendar unboxing rabbit hole. It was exactly the soothing, silly content I needed, and I think I watched 40-50ish? The Netflix calendar was one of the worst imo because of how limited it was show-wise & how random the items were, and at that price-point. A few items were nice, but I guess a superfan collector would want different, more high-quality merchandise; and most likely not from all the 5 shows included. All the big brand calendars seemed not worth it, tbh. I don't have anyone to give me one anyway ;_; but I'd advise sticking to the classic food variants or one from a small, local business you already like.

Advent calendars have always been a weird concept to me.
