If you have any desire to buy someone the wizards of the coast d&d advent calendar don't. Its absolute trash and $60. There were 15 stickers an eraser a pencil and a few 1 cent buttons.

Not surprising but still disappointing

That should've cost $20.

Patches and pins in a 99 pound calendar? Good lord.

Most advent calendars are not very good. I like getting tea ones, they usually aren't expensive and you can't go wrong with tea. But makeup, for example, even if it's good quality and full sized products, will always have you end up with some stuff that you don't need/won't use.

Youtubers who specialize in advent calendar I assume all have a hoarding or a shopping addiction problem.

I thought the same until I watched a 600 € tea calendar unboxing recently 💀 It did include a handful of pottery pieces, but it was still a ridiculous rip-off! As a stereotypical Asian who grew up with all sorts of loose-leaf tea, I was appalled. The theme was oolong, and most of the teas were flavoured! Don't get me wrong, rare teas can be very expensive. But that was just not it. My ancestors were crying... or laughing about whoever buys that.

I love oolong... but I can't imagine how much tea there would have to be in that for the calendar to be worth 600 euro, even with pottery.

Yep, you basically pay for the brand and fancy designer packaging. It was a tiny four-piece tea set, two teeny tiny bites of chocolate and 18 small tins of tea, only one of them being full-sized iirc the others contained like 4 portions.

The only non-food advent calendar I think might actually be nice would be an ornament one. Like I'd love Target or anthro to release one with 12 or 25 cute little woodland critter ornaments (or offer multiple themes). There's just not a lot of little things you want 25 of without knowing/choosing exactly what you get. Netflix is too big a brand with a wide range of content, who is this even for?
