I haven't played anything since finishing Elden Ring + DLC in September, and I'm all out of gaming money for the year lol. So I'm still deciding on which game to tackle in my backlog. Or maybe I'll replay one of my favorites until next year.
I'm playing Veilguard and I'm loving it. The haters are on crack, idk. I don't think it's a better game than Origins, but it's already so much better than Inquisition (a game that was solely carried by it's companions imo because the gameplay of it is just a mess). You can definitely see the Mass Effect influence in it. It feels like a mash-up of ME2 and DA2.
Playing Veilguard and... dear god Lucanis... drooling so much... ahem. Anyway.
My only complaint thus far is that I have far too many "you can't do this until later" quests unlocked and that Arlathan is clearly going to rival The Hinterlands for being a pain in the arse. I'm literally going in circles trying to find some quest markers that allegedly I should be right on top of. I appreciate that the quests are more linear/guided but there is a bit of exploration, I did feel like Inquisition (and its cousin ME:Andromeda, love them both as I do) had too much empty open space/too many fetch quests to justify the open space.
I started KotOR 1 again (replaying for the millionth time lol) a few weeks ago but got to Maanan and was like "Ugh" so I haven't gone back to it again yet
After watching an hour of gameplay for the new Batman Arkham Shadow game for Meta Quest, I started Arkham Asylum again but didn't get far in before I lost motivation/interest but I do think I'll go back to it this week. I still haven't beaten Arkham Origins yet cause I suck at the last Bane fight and keep doing one attempt before I give up and stop playing cause I hate being challenged anymore. I just want things to be easy lol
Gonna pick up Mario Party Jamboree within the next couple weeks cause I'm going away for the weekend with my friend who I always play Mario Party with plus a friend who isn't as much into games but will play that so it works out great cause it'll be new for all of us at the same time so me and my gamer friend won't have any real advantage
this morning i played for the first time in a few weeks and it went so badly i just closed the game after 😭 i just wanted to fire off a few games of ARAM and got absolutely clobbered. but that's what i get for trying to play Riven
