We did an “early small group” tour in the morning before the general opening, so we got to see the Sistine Chapel with like 25 people in it. It was absolutely worth it because we had arrived on Easter and it had been closed for several days due to Holy Week and then Easter Monday, so the line outside was literally blocks long.

Was this "early small group" something you had to arrange with the Vatican, or was it a separate tour group with a special arrangement?

It was through a tour company called Walks Inside Rome. Friends of ours had used them and recommended them.

Based on just the title of this post, I thought O'Hara and Burton had just gotten married to each other and I was SO confused because I thought he was with Monica still lol I'm glad that's not the case.

I genuinely don’t care for catholicism/religion in general so even with the ~historical element, that would be a super dull gift to me. I’d prefer a weekend on a secluded beach or something lol
