I’m 33 and loving it so much? Can’t imagine I’ll be hating life in 2 more years.

I understand where he's coming from since it's not that easy anymore to stay healthy and in shape without much effort but I prefer having to pay attention to what I eat, cutting out certain food than being in my 20s, when I was really depressed and had nothing figured out.

As a 35yr old, I will say yes I've really noticed the aging kicking in this year. More greys, lines becoming more noticeable around the eyes, withering neck skin, back pain. Man, the fcking back pain.

This happened to me at 37. Still no wrinkles if I'm not trying, but I used to be able to try and there wouldn't be any.

I turn 35 next year Tom, what should I do now, skip to 36 right away or just be 34 for another year?

Every decade has gotten better for me. I hated being a child, being a teenager was exhausting and unpleasant. My 20s were filled with a lot of tumult, mental health/grief issues, but I also met my wife and got married so there was good stuff. I've enjoyed my 30s quite a lot, so I'm really excited for my 40s because the fewer fucks I have to give the more I enjoy life.

Yes, this! After the chaos of my 20s, my 30s were where I really defined myself and I was not at all afraid to turn 40. The shine has worn off a little bit now with perimenopause and my body is definitely not recovering the way it used to so that is taking some learning and adjusting. I also entered my 40s during Covid so I guess I did get to experience my 30s during a slightly less tumultuous time so that could have an effect too.

The older I get the more I realize that nobody knows what the fuck they're doing at any age and I find that quite comforting.
