Eh, I don't know if "brat" has much cultural reach outside of the internet, but okay.

"brainrot" would absolutely be my word of the year, though I'm fairly sure I've been using it for awhile now (it's been in my twitter bio since 2022 at least).

everyone saying that brat doesn’t have enough cultural reach to deserve this is forgetting that when you’re measuring cultural impact every gay person counts for 100 straight people
