The fervor around this case is so strange to me. I dunno, I've seen it covered many times and other than notoriety and that they were wealthy, I'm not sure why people seem to be pulling for them so hard. There are plenty of people who murdered their abusers and been locked up for life despite the abuse being acknowledged.

No abuse victim who kills an abuser should be locked up for life, regardless of how “infamous” or wealthy they are

I'm not arguing they should be, but they're the ones people are making a lot of noise about and it's just strange when their situation is not unique.

I think that is just a very famous case. A lot of people don't want abuse victims in jail.

Like I want Chrystul Kizer out as much as I want them out.

I'm assuming gascon is also going the clemency route because he's going to lose re-election by a lot and the guy running against him is a republican disguising himself as an independent... so that might negatively impact the resentencing depending on how long it takes.
