I despise this, well he is a comedian thinking.

Like fuck off with the KKKomedians who just want to say vile things and bask in the attention but not the consequences.

I think someone on Twitter pointed out when you go to a roast you are consenting to be the butt of some terrible jokes. Puerto Rico did not sign up for that treatment and have every right to be deeply upset.

Plus combined with all the other racist, sexist bullshit from that rally no one should be defending anything said there.

Jon said a lot of good things in this segment, but this comment definitely left me shaking my head. Jon occasionally has very Boomer takes on things, and this definitely felt like one of those.

Also, this wasn't a roast where people were consenting or putting themselves in a situation to be made fun of. This is just crapping on people who don't have it easy and who don't deserve this punching down. Given the whole context of an evening where a lot of gross, xenophobic things were said, it's just an other version of it.

I don't think it's a Boomer thing, I think it's a male comedian thing. Like they truly believe that comedians should be able to say whatever heinous shit they want or else it's the downfall of society.

I feel like it's particularly bad with American male comedians. Not to say it's the only place which is a boy's club but roasting is such a big part of the stand-up scene, and it seems like the whole culture of it has been more resistant to moving with the times than what I've seen from the UK.
