Not that it would change how I feel but I even looked at the transcript to see if he actually roasted anyone there and the worst thing he said about Trump was some joke about how when he got shot he thought he had the election in the bag. This wasn't a fucking roast, it was just a racist performing for other racists.

That's exactly what I said to someone! This "comedian" was not roasting Trump or other Republicans, who were there and could consent to it or even offer a rebuttal. He was punching down on people who are already looked down upon by some people (probably like many attending this rally); where is the comedy in that? Unless a joke offers a change of perspective or mocks those with power, this type of "comedy" is just bullying and/or racism in a fancier package!

Jon, really? This was not comedy. Please go back to obscurity with this bullshit

They all defend each other for the sake of keeping comedy open and free.

But there are some comedians who do know that punching down is weak.

Exactly who I was thinking of although even he still wants to keep comedy open.

A little bit of both ways still.

Lucy gets it! Male comedians are especially always willing to excuse each other's indefensible shit

Even if he’s a liberal, he’s still a white man so this is unsurprising.
