Thankfully not anymore. I have become so much better at not buying "stuff". I try to be pretty intentional with most things I since hyper-consumerism stresses me out.

I stopped buying souvenirs a long time ago, and instead go to the grocery stores of the countries I visit and bring home a bunch of new foods and snacks. I'm going to the states (CA) next year if anyone has snack suggestions!

Most of my shopping is online unless I know a place close by that has it.

I mean, I could shop less, for sure but I am pretty good about not buying things just to buy them.

I'll buy merch from my favorite artists, movie tickets, concert tickets, theater tickets, and treat myself with candles or makeup every so often, and then of course clothes and shoes and furniture as needed.

I don't have any big collections other than posters, which are usually bought at a concert in support of a fave, and blu-rays, because I like physical media.

With phones and laptops, I'll hold on to them as long as I can before I upgrade.

Not saying I am immune to ads, but I have always loved the strategy of putting something in my cart and waiting a couple of days before I buy something. If I don't think about it again, problem solved! I think impulse shopping and collections are where a lot of people struggle.
