this is my problem too. for weeks there was nearly nothing around, and now november's inundating us with the awards season and the rest of the big tentpoles being released on top of each other, it's insanity

Truly! It went from the drip feed of late summer to the waterfall of awards season. I also hate that my local theater stops doing discount day for the last two weeks of the year.

high time my lazy ass finally got into the awards season. seeing conclave and anora this weekend, can not wait

I watched Exhibiting Forgiveness which took a different approach from what I thought would happen, and I commend. Andre Holland needs to be in more things! Also realized I'd actually seen the director's previous short film before because it was shortlisted for the Oscars a few years ago.

I want to see Conclave, Your Monster and Dahomey. Guess it's a good thing it's supposed to be a rainy weekend

Definitely seeing Conclave at some point in the next week. I'm glad that this pope-centric movie looks more fun than The Two Popes from a few years back (which i am pretty sure I turned off at some point and did not finish, lol).

AFI Fest is going on right now. The lineup/Q&As/price structure was all pretty underwhelming this year, but I got tickets for a couple things - Nightbitch tomorrow, and Hard Truths on Sunday. Could go for more, we'll see.

Next week it gets insane, release-wise, so I need to really plan out my movie-going!
