I saw Conclave yesterday and it was very very good

I didn't read it so I do not know but from what I read online in reviews it doesn't seem to be

the wild robot had me doing a lower-lip-wobble-before-i-fully-sob kind of cry. what a lovely, heartfelt movie.

i’m actually excited for conclave, but i have time for one movie this weekend and it might be we live in time since i suspect it’ll be gone from theatres here soon (while universal will likely put conclave on VOD thirty seconds after its theatre release lol). i loved brooklyn and am a sucker for a weepy british romantic drama in general, so it should be right up my alley. we’ll see if i stick to that plan though!

i'm a little shocked conclave has such critical acclaim because the book was kind of a mediocre thriller with a...dubious...twist, which i hope they've managed to adapt a little more thoughtfully.

I'm very much looking forward to seeing Conclave. I don't usually like to watch male dominated films but I'll make an exception for this story since the cast is stacked.

I'm also seeing Venom tomorrow night so I'm going to do a doule bill rewatch of the first two tonight.

smile 2 fucked me up! i loved it but i also hated it [Spoiler (click to open)](car crash scenes freak me out), but it was seriously a million times better than the first which i thought was just meh. naomi scott was so good!
