I haven’t really been keeping up with this, but just based on their ages alone it seems pretty fucking wild that the legal reasoning for dismissing the lawsuit is “you signed a piece of paper and acted like you were fine!”

This is literally why so many victims don’t come forward with their abuse. Jfc.

Yeah. If they were underage when they signed, that should mean something. They can't really consent.

And it seems at least one mom didn't know what happened until after filming had wrapped and she def wasn't asked for consent.

Whether or not the lawsuits have moved ahead, I think it's incredibly meaningful that both of them have gone on the record here. It's never too late to re-examine something you thought was okay; it's never too late to look at your own trauma through a kinder, more compassionate lens; and it's never too late to attempt to correct the record and you're absolutely right and righteous to do so.

The two are being punished for being groomed into approving these scenes.

The judge just silenced so many abuse victims with this horrible dismissal.
