The film will have an Imax release on July 17, 2026 and Matt Damon is tapped to star.

His agent hasn't been choosing his films, he has. Problem is, his agent gives him bad scripts and he doesn't recognize that they're bad.

This role didn't come from his agent, it came from Nolan. He likely saw a film Holland was good in and decided to cast him based on that. That's how Nolan has said he casts in the past. Plus all his scripts are secret, there's no way Tom's agent would know a role for an actor in Tom's age bracket existed.

I have really not been impressed with anything he's been in since The Impossible. But whatever, he'll make a bazillion dollars for this I'm sure.

Damn, that would be a big boost for Tom's career.

Like yeah, obviously he's Spider-Man, and that's huge. But he can only do that for so long, so it'd be good for him to get some Serious roles under his belt. Actually not sure if he can act for real, guess we'll see!!

yeah, his attempts to move beyond spider-man have not gone great, but i like
him a lot and think he has a very nice screen presence so i would love to see him in something like this!
