Didn't TMZ got sued by Vanessa Bryant and lost?
The money from these pictures can't be that good.

It's very depressing to say this, but the money they make doing this shit far outweighs the amount of they spend on damages for the few people who have the funds and the will to sue them.

I used to be friends with someone with a very famous father, and he was exposed to graphic photos from the scene of his father's death. It was awful.

I don't get how this was even possible. One person had to see or find the body, and surely their instinct is to call the authorities or the staff, I don't know. In all this, someone recognized who it was, took pictures, thought "I can sell these!!", contacted TMZ and got money out of taking picture of a dead body...

And that person is sleeping probably very well, probably laughing at TMZ getting all the flames.

We've had news reports here where there's been car crashes with fatalities, and people gather around and take photos/videos and then share them on Snapchat. And family finding out via graphic images shared on Snapchat that their family has died. Like, multiple times.

Some people have no scruples when it comes to their phones and sharing / taking images. First responders took pictures of the Kobe helicopter crash too

if he fell off a balcony, there were probably other guests on their balconies who saw it. there are definitely some people out there who will see someone fall to their deaths and go "hmmm I should take a picture of their corpse."

alternately, could be a police photo. tmz gets a lot of their info from first responders. I assume argentinian police are just as shitty and morally bankrupt as police anywhere else.
