No

His official statement on Liam's death has a lot of regret in it

That's what really broke my heart. You could sense the regret and that he thought there'd be time in the future to mend things.

Speaking as someone who lost a friend under similar circumstances it honestly messes with your head because you wonder if things would have still happened the way they did if you were still in their life. You always think there's enough time for a reconciliation and sometimes...there really isn't. :( I don't blame him one bit for postponing his tour either because when my friend died it fucked me up for a very long time, and I'm sure he's feeling something similar.

This whole thing is still hard to believe.

I hope they do find the person.
I'm still pissed that the police didn't do a thing when my brother's friends gave him a drug laced with fenty (they knew it was, my brother did not). He died within minutes of taking it and the cops decided it wasn't worth looking into even when we were willing to give them his phone, the rest of the drugs left behind, and the numbers that continued to call the house for him. Because they knew about him, they decided he was "just another addict" as they put it. /endrant

Hope he's finally at peace, and that his family aren't forced to see the photos that have leaked online. Especially his son.

I'm so sorry. I've heard so many stories like yours, where the cops just didn't even look into it. It's heartbreaking.

I feel awful for everyone who loved and lost Liam, but I'm honestly very concerned about Maya. It must be a massive mindfuck for her. At one point she loved him, but she was also a victim of him at his worst, and now she has to watch the world praise him while they mourn, as if her pain and trauma were footnotes. Add in the fans blaming her, the fact that it would be impossible for anyone in the same situation to avoid the "was it my fault?" spiral, especially since his barrage of texts about his impending death were named in her Cease & Desist... And apparently she was even warned by someone close to Liam that he wasn't doing well and they told her flat out that if something happened to Liam it would be her fault.

I just hope she is being protected and taken care of. Her grief must especially complex.

I agree. It's also got to be hard because people use "he has a child" whenever a man does anything as an excuse to silence women.

I feel so horrible for her. People mag initially had an article with a click baity title about her and I saw chrissy teigen was in the comments calling them out but it never got taken down. I expect that from the rest of the tabloids but People tries to pretend they’re better than that.

Ive also been thinking about the girls that did that podcast interview with her a couple of days before he died. Like they were a tiny podcast that they seemed to do out of their bedrooms. That clip is now everywhere and I’m sure they are got/are getting insane pile on themselves

having to watch the entire world call your abuser kind and loving and silencing anyone that says otherwise must be horrific and retraumatizing.
