Is there any truth to her being a hugely successful ghost writer on songs. Ive heard that for years and years and im super curious now.

This is honestly one of my favorite urban legends that I hope is true. I'd hate to think her songwriting talents just languished for decades.

there be a LOT here and all imma say is Danny Keough seems like a good dude and i'm glad they stayed close....it feels like he was about the only person apart from her kids who actually wanted what was best for her.

as for Michael, i do get their relationship in the sense that she was probably the only person who could understand that level of fame without competing with it. but clearly she still only saw what he wanted her to see and i don't enjoy the flippancy with the allegations. i am mindful that she was abused as a child herself and it may have been a defence mechanism. of course she didn't want to believe it.

(and also that everyone involved in this book is probably, yes, not wanting to get sued. also that.)

"She told Riley she thought he was protecting his addiction." I sure hope she told it to her later, when she was writing the book, and not back in 1995 when Riley was 6.

The fact that MJ got interested in her when she was a teenager and pursued her when she was married is creepy.

I used to think the relationship was completely genuine on both their parts but after reading the book, I think she thought she was in love with him, but between him insisting their first meeting when she was six on her despite her repeatedly saying she didn't remember, saying he thought Danny should have been his spot despite never meeting her as an adult beforehand, and insisting she have his children almost immediately and continuing to push that after they divorced, and her constantly bringing up Elvis in relation to MJ, and her saying one thing and changing her tune only when he died...I think she thought she was in love and she felt it was real and I'll leave it at that.

I think/hope everything Lisa told Riley was when she was an adult lol

this was a pattern with him. he was 18 dating his "first love" Tatum o'neal who was 13 or 14, at 22 or 23 he's spinning around the room bc 15 y/o Brooke Shields gave him her number, there were rumors he had a "crush" on Emma Watson when she was a kid and told people he was going to marry her (Conrad Murray wrote about this in his book but the rumor predates the book). hard to ignore.

She met Michael Jackson for the first time when she was six years old. She doesn't remember it, he did. When she was 15 or 16, he called her mom for dinner. He was hoping Lisa would come with her (he was 25 years old) but didn't mention it because he didn't want to be weird.

again this man was intensely weird and i do not understand anyone pretending that he was not a child molester....
