The first scene [Spoiler (click to open)]showing Billy's Bar Mitzvah really was lovely. And the gasp I let out when you see who put the sigil on him. *chef's kiss*
This show is worth staying up past my old-lady bedtime.
This show has some really glaring pacing and plot issues, but maybe it's the Wandavision nostalgia or the charm of the ensemble cast, I'm still enjoying it as a show. I also love the set and costume changes. So camp!
im ngl this wqs the first episode i wasnt on the edge of my seat, like excited while watching, it just felt like a recap episode cause i already knew who billy was so im just like OK LETS MOVE THE PLOT LETS GOOO.
all the Jewish stuff in the beginning felt like Disney trying to backtrack on ignoring wanda’s religion in the first place but with isreal bombing people still as we speak it gave me the ick.
it was a good ep but i was missing agatha and the whole crew the entire time even through they had their little cameos, im wondering if maybe the women also had similar accidents and died in their bodies and have been taken over by alt versions of themselves, i guess we’ll see
...excuse me, seeing Jewish rituals gave you the ick because of Israel?
I'm really pretty disturbed by your comment. Israel and Jews are not the same thing. Not all of us are Zionists. And even if we were (we're not!), seeing any sort of Jewish ritual is completely different from the genocidal actions of the Israeli government.
Do you just think we Jews shouldn't exist right now? Should we hide our hanukkiah during Hanukkah? Will it upset you to see dreidel decorations? It's Sukkot right now, should we all dismantle our huts? And it's Shabbat on Friday -- will it hurt you to see challah in bakeries? Poor you, having to be around when Jews are simply EXISTING.
Genuinely, what the hell. Israel is disgusting but our rituals are not about the country of Israel. Your comment was antisemitic as shit.
So seeing a Jewish ritual that involved nothing about the state of Israel, merely a kid doing one of the most common blessings, disgusted you. Right, got it.
