I remember there was a post earlier this year about a rumor that Taylor Swift was coming out with a book. People were expecting a memoir but she's actually coming out with a book filled with photos of herself lmao.

She would never release a memoir in a million years. That goes against her entire brand of communicating her secrets through her songwriting. It would ruin the whole mystique~

That and the plausible deniability. In a song you get a huge amount of poetic license to fudge or even fabricate details. You get to smile and look innocent and refuse to confirm who it's (obviously) about, even to the point of pretending it's totally fiction. Can't hide behind that shield with a memoir, you're now firmly writing non-fiction and you can be fact-checked to death.
