I have the entire series (except for the reboot) on VHS. Then downloaded it using BTJunkie (that took forever) and when it finally came out on dvd, made multiple trips to Suncoast and would get it for buy whatever get whatever on a discount.

And I have some episodes I taped when they aired.

i remember one of my first experiences being on the internet as a child was being on some x files web ring and stumbling across a tea leoni hate page and just wondering how some viewer of a tv show could hate a random actor's wife and like how they even knew enough about her to hate her. anyway 20+ years later still kinda wondering the same

They didn't like her because she wanted Duchovny to quit the show. She would eventually get her wish.

I myself always wondered why she married him knowing that the x-files was filmed in Vancouver?? She is the reason it moved to LA, only for Duchonvy to quit 2 years later.

I mean maybe she gave him an ultimatum to try and get a divorce in a very round about way, only for him to get the show to actually move. Lol who knows

It occurs to me that I've never watched X-Files from start to finish, I've just watched a lot of random episodes, especially ones heavy on the Scully/Mulder sexual tension. I need to sit down and do a proper binge one day.

I don’t think it was the reboot that caused the downfall, fans generally say that it stopped being good when Mulder left and they tried to continue the show anyway. Honestly I probably preferred the reboot season to how the original show ended with season 9, that one was genuinely painful to sit through, whereas at least seasons 10 and 11 had Mulder and Scully back together again and there were some fun episodes, especially the two Darin Morgan ones

The mythology episodes weren’t great granted and they did handle William badly, but then it was even worse in season 9 with all of that crap with the super soldiers that had zero emotional investment for anyone.
