the name being pronounced as "Gro-nyuh" makes much more sense and the mother is dumb as hell for not checking it out before.

same. i actually don't think grain is a bad name, either. we name kids after nature all the time - briar, clove, sage, fern, glen, hazel, olive, skye, sierra, pearl, not to mention all the flower names.

why not grain, which gives us two of humanity's greatest treasures, rice and bread?
