Maybe I'm just grouchy this morning but do all celebrities have to monetize their hobbies now?
ETA: I want to be clear that I'm not knocking him for being sober and talking about how he feels better after doing that, and I'm sure it's not easy for a celebrity with parties and industry events. It just seems like so many celebrities basically say "I'm enjoying/doing X--how do I make money off that?"
Yeah, I hear you. I think a lot of celebrities are getting smarter about maximizing their window of popularity, so they do shit like this, make bank when they sell to a bigger company, and then don't have to depend on taking roles they don't want to pay the bills.
I mean it’s low effort on their part and it’s marketing something they actually care about.
If you’re already a spokesperson for a whole bunch of shit you don’t care about, why not be a spokesperson for something you actually care about and get paid while doing it. It’s a win win.
I can appreciate the celebrities that are at least using it to fill a necessary gap (popularizing non-alcoholic beverages, putting out darker shades of foundation for poc, accessible products, clothing upcycling, etc.) like Tom is, but I am definitely tired of every celebrity thinking they need to be a lifestyle brand. Petition for the word 'brand' and 'mogul' to be derogatory as they should be.
Good for him. Having the option available allows people to not drink without getting hassled over why they're not drinking (which shouldn't happen in the first place).
Same girl. Today is day 44 without a drink. I am down 7 pounds (though I lost the 7 within the first 30 days and I just weighed and havent lost any in the last 2 weeks but didnt gain either).
My pants fit a bit better but I feel like my ass has shrunk and I am sad about it. My wallet looks fat though. Crazy how much money I would spend on alcohol.
I am going away later this week so will have a few drinks then and then I'll stop again when I come back
I tried non-alcoholic beer once and was not impressed, but on the other hand, in the past years there has been a boom of different flavors of non-alcoholic radlers and they are sooo good? Also, they started selling malt drinks here (non alcoholic), and those are also good, I'm just annoyed they all come in a 0,5l can and it is very often too much for me.
