I do understand these things can be annoying; however even most of us normies don’t react to such things by blasting the company online. Most of us just get on with our day.

But she thought she’d use her wealth and celebrity to get special attention over it which wouldn’t be afforded to most consumers which is what makes me roll my eyes over it.

“The funniest thing about Jessica Chastain complaining about only getting a $15 refund for the in-flight entertainment not working on her Jet Blue flight is that she was flying with her husband,” another user wrote. “Is 6 hours together that horrible that you lose it over not having movies to watch?”

LOL

Some people take medication and sleep through flights...

Maybe they were with their kids and didn't bring any entertainment with them? I can see parents losing their minds over it. Especially if the kids are very accustomed to screens.

In any case, it is an overeaction.

Her stressing how much she paid for it is a bit meh, but imo 15 USD for six hours without a working entertainment system is a joke. No matter how much someone paid; I'm sure the cheapest tickets were also several hundreds, and having inflight entertainment is part of what you pay for. The reimbursement should be the same for everyone of course, but higher.

I thought you paid for being chauffeured across the skies in a roaring metal bird propelled by tiny explosions and living to tell the tale, not watching Mama Mia 2 on a four inch screen, but im used to Ryan Air so what do I know.

Fair, my last flights were also all short-distance with low-cost carriers without any entertainment provided. Totally fine! But on my expensive long-distance journeys it was explicitly advertised as part of the flight sold to me, so I would expect an adequate compensation if it turns out unavailable. *Up for debate what "adequate" is and I think the average seat price for the flight in question should be taken into consideration. But if I understand correctly, they also only offered a credit, so something to use on booking your next flight with them... so they're technically not losing money, and could give you ~45 instead of 15?

For long flights I'd say you do pay for the inflight entertainment too, where else would airlines get the money to pay the licences for the movies etc. they have. Not sure how much of a ticket goes into the inflight entertainment pot though.

Girl ... if Emma from Selling Sunset can fly private with her frozen Empanada Business, so can you. Don't be such a cheap and then complain!

In this climate environment, do we really want to encourage celebrities to fly private? :)
