I do think it's interesting living through this as a kid because Martha was omnipresent and people really didn't like her at a certain until she went to jail and that really shifted people because they thought it was sort of bullshit. (Sidenote: I adore Ana Gasteyer's version of her on SNL) Her rebrand as like an expert of many things who can be fun. A lot of it goes back to that appearance on the VMAs with Busta Rhymes laying the groundwork.

Exactly, she’s a former model turned mogul who went to jail for something that men get away with everyday and she dgaf, it’s oddly charming lol

I still use "oven poor". lol. I am indifferent to Martha. I use to watch her Holiday specials and crafting Ideas. My go to Carrot Cake recipe is from her.

As a non-American ONTDer I feel like I simultaneously know so much yet so little about this woman lol she’s sorta like this entity, i know she’s big and went to jail but I simply wouldn’t know how to explain who she is to someone who’s never heard about her.
