I had seen those too but there never seemed to be legit confirmation. It always sounded unconfirmed.

there’s no set time for a common law marriage. you have to be cohabiting and presenting yourself as married (in the states that allow it.) Obviously a sane judge wouldn’t say you’re common law married after a month of living together, but it also isn’t a thing that kicks in after 7 years like some people think.
