When my mom's in her feelings and boozed up, she listens to John Denver. Granted, we're not related to John Denver, but I understand the "aww hell, Mama's on a bender and this is going to be a mess" vibe.

For me it’s Johnny Cash’s last song which he covered Nine Inch Nails Hurt…I don’t need booze to get me in the feels cuz as soon as I hear those lyrics to Johnny Cash’s voice I just start get in my feels and cry.

Lisa Marie Presley had a very privileged neglect upbringing 😔

I remember the family’s ex-butler and maid were interviewed of how she was brought up by Priscilla and they said after Elvis died you could tell how lost little Lisa Marie was. That she was always home alone a lot and she spent time with them in the servants quarters cuz she was lonely. They had to quit because once they brought up to Priscilla’s attention of how she was neglecting her daughter, she threatened to fire them.

That awful boyfriend of Priscilla's as well as former Scientology members said the same of Priscilla's parenting. Very neglectful, very cold, not at all ideal for a child who had just lost a parent in a very traumatic way. Lisa's former scientology handler straight up said Priscilla wasn't a good mother.

I believe this…so for Lisa Marie to mourn like she did for her father seems very much real, cuz I think she felt more love and warmth coming from her father than from her own mother. I always got the feeling that Priscilla’s affection to Lisa Marie to be rather conditional.

It must’ve been very traumatic for her to lose the one parent (Elvis) who truly wanted her around and unconditionally loved her.

Reminder that Elvis groomed Priscilla, so he's not a hero partner or parent. Priscilla has seemingly been an awful person for a long time, but let's not pretend that isn't shaped by what and who shaped her.

If Lisa Marie escaped that horrible dynamic enough to build deep bonds with her kids, all the more of an amazing feat she accomplished despite her circumstances.

Grief is a weird journey and it's so easy to get trapped in the cycles of it. I dealt w very complicated grief when my sister died and I was alone, in my early 20s and struggled so much.

LOL my song that makes me cry is Pinks Who Knew. But oddly enough I didn't cry when I saw her sing it live with my sister in law.

I know she doesn’t want a singing career but I’d support it

I like it 🤷🏽‍♀️ she has a really pretty voice, she can absolutely have a singing career if she wanted it.

What a blessing and a curse that must've been for Lisa Marie - on the one hand, she had plentiful access to her father's voice which is something a lot of people lose when they lose a loved one (maybe less so these days with phones). On the other that's a tremendous temptation to get lost in
