Gavin Creel was such a talent and always a joy to watch on stage. I never saw him in The Book of Mormon, which probably was his longest role, but I loved him in She Loves Me, Hello Dolly, and Into the Woods. I’m always going to be sad that I missed his Met musical at MCC.

He was SO charming in She Loves Me. Honestly made me love that show.

I am absolutely devastated by this news. I fell in love with him just from hearing his vocals on the Mille cast recording.

I got to see him several times when Hair came over to London on the West End. He was so lovely at the stage door and he was so captivating on stage.

What an absolute loss. My heart goes out to his family, friends, and colleagues.

I thought it was going to be a casting announcement when I first saw the Playbill instagram post... 48 is so young.

I was lucky enough to see him in Hair and Hello, Dolly. He was so, so talented and seemed like a lovely person.
