so awful. i never had the opportunity to see him on stage, but i've seen both eloise movies so many times and i still adore the christmas one (i last rewatched it a couple years ago). may he rest in peace. fuck cancer.
this is really the moment for so many of us. it was 2003. i was 14. and suddenly i was madly in love with the piano player from the Plaza.
Cancer is such a fucking scourge. I lost my sister to it 8 and a half years ago and it still makes me equal parts sad and mad. Dikembe Mutombo died of cancer today too and I am just feeling overwhelmed by how insidious this disease is.
I'm so sorry about your sister. I'm a big Nuggets fan and loved Mutombo. It's so sad, he died of glioblastoma, which is one of the most insidious cancers. There's practically no cure, it almost always comes back. My MIL died from it before I met my husband :(
Gavin has been so reliably great for years and was such a blast as Cinderella's Prince. I hope he was able to do everything he wanted and say his goodbyes in his final months. What an awful diagnosis.

ps. both Eloise At The Plaza and Eloise At Christmastime are available on @PrimeVideo if you need a little Gavin Creel today. https://t.co/wf1R9aiDc0

Such a sad loss, far too soon. I was lucky enough to see him in Thoroughly Modern Millie on Broadway.
