He was just all-around awesome. Why can't someone shitty die for a change?

Kris Kristofferson wore a necklace with the United Farm Workers eagle emblem in the Star Is Born promotional material as part of his activism supporting the farm worker movement https://t.co/yYi7vLC2Y9 pic.twitter.com/OtrQkREBkQ

If he was only known for supporting Palestine, comforting Sinead and (possibly) dragging toby keith he'd still be a fkn legend. RIP to a truly great man.

I was literally just watching the old Muppet Show episode with him for the first time and loved how unseriously he took himself in his duet with Miss Piggy but all of this is making me a fan.

So sad. He was definitely one of the good ones.

I'll never forget him consoling Sinéad as she was booed during her performance at the concert for Bob Dylan's 30th anniversary as a recording artist in 1992. This was after her SNL performance where she ripped up the photo of the Pope in protest of childhood sexual assault occuring in the Church.

He wrote the song "Sister Sinéad" for her.

I was a fan of Kristofferson before, but after I saw him come on stage, comfort Sinead, and walk away with her, I understood what being a caring, empathetic person was for the first time. When he came back and read the audience the Riot Act, that's when I understood what it meant to be a truly righteous person.

The world's a worse place without him.
