It amazes me that the woman in the video has such a big following bc based on this video alone she’s painfully obnoxious. The internet will always make stupid people famous.

as someone who lives in a faulty zone and lived thru an 8.2 earthquake and the only hurricane experience i've had is non stop rain, i'd say devastating hurricanes are far more common than devastating earthquakes and once you get used to them you don't even feel them if they're like under magnitude 5, on top of that earthquakes last like 2 minutes and its over, i feel like she's just not used it at all which is why she finds it scary but once she gets used it she'll probably change her mind, esp with los angeles' tiny earthquakes lol

also another tangent i've seen a lot of tiktoks where ppl are lacking any sort of empathy for ppl who didn't evacuate. like where would these ppl have gone to bc all of the southeastern part of the us was effected badly, even southern ohio & we didn't even get it as bad as the other states (yeah we had high winds & lots of rain but the destruction compared to other places), so it's like other the further north or west there was no where else anyone could go bc not everyone has the ability to travel that far. or even wait it out if they did get to go further out bc it turns out 2 more hurricanes are most likely headed on a similar path.

Also, NC was expecting some destruction but not this level of flooding. That area often gets impacts from hurricanes but this was just more than anyone anticipated.

ALSO there’s a level of privilege to be able to evacuate. Not everyone has the same ability to pick up and go. I’m so tired of the ignorance.

it's extremely privileged bc i saw comments of ppl saying well some ppl don't have another place to go or can't afford a hotel & ppl commented saying well they should sleep in their cars & it was then pointed out that some ppl don't have cars & the same commenters said well find someone who does like what the fuck. it's insane.
