Drake Hogestyn, who portrayed John Black on the soap opera Days Of Our Lives, has passed away at 70 due to pancreatic cancer, one day before his 71st birthday.

NOOOOOO. Days of our Lives, GH, Passions, OLTL, Port Charles, Bold and the Beautiful etc. Like the only reason I know english is because of these shows and their actors. May he rest in peace.

Oh no! I was more of a Passions girl, but DOOL was so ubiquitous in pop culture that even if you didn’t watch the show, everyone knew who John, Marlena, and Stefano were. May his memory be a blessing and I hope he is resting well 😞

Nobody cocked an eyebrow with "sniff a fart" acting like Drake. Nobody.

His loss will be felt on his show, no doubt. His loss is felt by the soap community. Cancer is wretched.

This is so sad. Haven’t watched Days in forevee and never liked John and Marlena, (John/Izzie B fan), but he was such an institution. And by all accounts, he seemed like the nicest man. Fuck cancer!
