i would not be engaged to someone for more than like 3 years excluding special circumstances (covid for example).

if a man won't marry you after like 2 years he probably just doesn't want to. i'm firmly in that camp at this point after that subreddit with the women proposing and stuff.

but what is the point of being engaged for such a long time? either get married or don't lol. having such a long engagement makes it obvious one person just proposed/agreed to get engaged to placate the other imo.
