at this point i think disney is just doing and saying anything to justify their cancellation of this show. between this and the keanu leak (which makes no sense since leslye has said that ljj was her only choice for sol) it really feels they're just trying to bury it.

the fact they still haven't said anything or commented on the horrible abuse amandla is getting in particular (not that i expect them too since they have the worst history of protecting their poc cast) is just kind of gross.

That is insane. This has to be money laundering. Nothing about that show looked like it cost 230 million dollars.

100%. I only watched 2 episodes but nothing in that show looks like it cost almost 30 million an episode.
By comparison, Kenobi was 15 million per episode.

seriously. overinflated movie and tv budgets are the new overbudgeted construction scams. IRS needs to get on it.

I don't understand. Where did the money go? Cuz we def didnt see it on screen and it's not just this show. That's so much money.

And it's not like they had to worldbuild from scratch. A lot of the set pieces already exist; you just need to get creative with it. Same goes for costuming and lore.

This is not refuting my conspiracy theory that some shows/movies were made to fail. Whether it's for money laundering or embezzlement is debateable.

Didn’t one of the other streamers have a show that cost an obscene amount of money and was a giant flop? I think it was with the Russos?

I’d believe it if it came out these big budget flops were some kind of tax or money laundering scheme.

You're thinking of Citadel, which is basically a Bucky/Natasha fanfiction with the names changed. I believe it got a season two, which is surprising, given that I'm the only person to have seen season one.

Literally how? Out of all the SW shows, this looked like it was done on a small scale, small sound stages et all. There were hardly any on location scenes and the cgi was minimal at best. Something’s rotten in the state of Disneyland.
