Erik and Lyle Menendez’s family slams Ryan Murphy and his ‘Monsters’ series in new statement:

“a phobic, gross, anachronistic, serial episodic nightmare… Our family has been victimized by this grotesque shockadrama. […] Perhaps, after all, Monsters is all about Ryan Murphy.” pic.twitter.com/QY9E4KUU3U

"It’s not like we’re making any of this stuff up," says man who routinely makes stuff up (oop, I'm sorry, dramatizes stuff)

Bitch if you’re going to write creepy incest RPF and then claim it’s the best thing that’s happened to them in 30 years, you need to own it. “I’d like specifics about what they think is shocking” to “we’re just asking difficult questions” to “I don’t want to talk to them, I already know what they’re going to say” is so weird.

Additionally, his “I just think it’s interesting~” arguments give me full body chills, the middle school mean girl to Ryan Murphy pipeline is real, you never hear about your 7th grade bully because Ryan Murphy eats them to absorb their snotty-voiced passive aggressive power.

Fuck this guy. What a deeply repulsive shit he is. I hope he gets his comeuppance soon.

“The family’s response is predictable at best,” Murphy said, just hours after the family’s statement was released. “I find it interesting because I would like specifics about what they think is shocking or not shocking. It’s not like we’re making any of this stuff up. It’s all been presented before.

Um. What the fuck?

"The family’s response is predictable at best". This… is so devoid of any empathy, it's insane. This is sociopathic.

Empathy is something he's never been burdened with.

Yeah, I clocked that. He's truly a narcissist and meets the criteria. It's crazy that he's defensive and doubling down, acting like he did nothing wrong. Um, their story and the trauma isn't your project, your baby, yours (period). Maybe, don't be an asshole and make a series about the suffering and trauma of others. He didn't give a shit about the Dahmer series. He's doing this and the football story, and he did Pose. He's clearly a White man profiting out of the suffering of BIPOC. I hope his downfall comes, and people start writing exposees of what he's really like behind the scenes so he can have Ellen Degeneres's life now.

I have never watched a minute of his shows (even Glee, AHS) - I did admire how he hired lgbtq+ persons and older actresses but that was about it.

Profiting off of such immense pain and sadness is beyond my understanding.
