I feel like I spawned this after my rant about how I hated him as an actor because I hated his Old Guard character so much (yes it's possible to love a movie and hate a character not because they're evil but because they fucking whine the entire movie god shut up nobody cares) until I saw A Bigger Splash, so I am ok with this news, good for him.

I actually googled to see if Booker was indeed the most annoying character in The Old Guard and instead found that he's apparently a lot of people's faves because he's a sad white boy. WHAT?! I don't hate Matthias, I just think Booker needs to shut the fuck up instead of spending the entirely of the sequel whining. And having read the comics, maybe he will, but there is fanfic where Nicky leaves Joe for Booker and like 1.) no and 2.) that's racist because it seems that you only like those two together because they're both white? Like the fuck? The only ship Booker (separating the character from the actor here and this is only about the character) should be involved in is with his one true love, death.
Have you read the second comics volume? Because I really hope they change the ending of that because [Spoiler (click to open)]Andy starts whining like Booker and suddenly the others just peace out like that's not realistic.

A decent cast as Krem. I really hope this movie keeps the stylization of Woman of Tomorrow because it really made the landscapes/space/characters feel alien and strange.

tbh that was me when Marwan was in Black Adam lmao - I haven't seen the full movie yet, but I was very happy for him (eta: but idk why he was just not doing it for me in that one - and I'm tired of him being a villain in every big-budget thing he's in LOL with Black Adam and Aladdin).
