But wait why do you have to remove make up for skin to skin? They're on your chest only. I didn't wear makeup when I gave birth or did skin to skin but see lots of moms pics who do. (On the one hand i hate the feeling of makeup so i didn't want to make myself any more uncomfortable than i already was, but i do envy people who love how they look in their photos. but i digress)
For the same reason parfums are also a nono You don't want other scents to confuse the baby. some chemicals present in cosmetics are also not safe for them
My boyfriend was adopted at birth so he has pictures with his mom in the hospital but they weren’t posing in his birth mom’s bed!
I don’t have a problem with them being in the hospital taking pictures. Most of us who have ever visited someone right after their baby was born have pictures holding their newborn in a hospital chair! Idk it just gives off the impression that they shooed their surrogate off her bed lol
But also we don’t know the exact circumstances here so who knows - I’m just speaking based on the impression it gives me! It could be they were given their own hospital room for skin-to-skin contact (but they don’t look very comfy for that) or something…
No worries! I didn’t read it that way - I thought you were just poking a little fun at me! <3 It’s been a while since I’ve been inside a hospital room anyway so I’ll take your word for it
No They are SITTING on the hospital bed in full glam That's not the "I was there for the birth outfit", that'd not "skin to skin" outfit (as she is wearing jewelry and make-up) That's a photo OP and it's just weird.
Most likely another room. The baby probably has to stay for a day or so and this is possibly the room that is now John/Olivia/baby's for that, the bed just might be the most comfortable, the only thing that fits both of them, etc.
Why do they feel the need to take pictures in the hospital bed when they didn't give birth though?
