From Gossip Girl to iCarly to Gilmore Girls to Boy Meets World to (almost!) Lizzie McGuire and beyond, having our favorite characters from our tween and teen years come back as adults sounds like a great premise, but it often doesn't work out the way we'd hope

Honestly I usually pass on any reboot or revival because it never captures the essence of what made the original good - or frankly sometimes it's the time period and making it current makes it a very different thing so it doesn't work anymore. Nostalgia can be nice but for me it's not enough to garner interest (which is why I hate celeb cameos too probably)

I know this show wasn't a revival but it was a teen show so it kind of counts as on topic...I'm still EXTREMELY salty that Genera+ion was cancelled and then completely removed from HBO Max. They want to do so many shitty reboots and revivals because they're a "sure" thing and then people don't watch those so they get cancelled anyways. Give new things a fucking chance damn.
