It's all bad writing. That's the issue.

I'm sad we didn't get the Lizzie McGuire reboot though.

I feel like reboots never understand that it's the cast that made the original show so successful. You can have all the bad writing in the world, but cast chemistry will keep me watching for several years. Pretty Little Liars and Gossip Girl anyone? Then you get the reboots and it's just watered down versions of the originals. (I mean this happened midway through Glee's run). I wish they would just create new characters instead of different versions of the old ones. It just makes me want to watch the original.
