I get that he is salty that they didn’t stay a creative partnership, he’s doing like hotel ads and Jordan is getting Oscars, but to me, the tragedy is that he hasn’t moved past it to do something more interesting with his career or life. He’s playing the same record over and over again.

Babes it's a glitch in the matrix and I won't delete it every time I comment or else I'd never be on here.

I always wonder how the other person feels when I see articles like this. He has set Jordan up to be asked questions about this, but maybe Jordan is entirely okay with it and would rather we (the public) respect his privacy?

i feel like peele is more openly like "meh that's not me anymore" isn't he? but i may be totally wrong.

i feel like it's less awkward if it's just like...two people who were friends and collaborators who just grew apart. he must see people like amy and tina and feel kind of like "why isn't that us?"

Honestly I have no idea 🫣 maybe???

Same. With them, at least, their careers have always gone in similar directions and stayed in similar creative spaces. With Key and Peele, they’ve been up to very different things where constantly looping each other in on their projects would make a lot less sense. But (based on pure speculation on my part) Tina and Amy seem to have also committed to actively supporting each other. People outgrow or otherwise grow apart from friends all the time, but those two also always go back to each other. So I think even if Key and Peele had continued working in the same areas this outcome might have still followed.

Lol I imagine stuff started changing after Jordan won the Oscar and became a horror auteur.

Sucks but it happens when careers paths start diverging.

Although I find it funny when people run over to the media to air out their personal business, makes me think that’s maybe why the relationship sour a bit.

They partnered up together on Toy Story 4 and Wendell & Wild (which came out just two years ago) so I figured things were still fine between them.

Things can start becoming undone during those times.

i recently binged Key & Peele. Ok I'm going to embarrass myself for a minute and say i got a couple episodes in before i wiki'd them and realized Peele was the Jordan Peele. Don't judge me! I didn't know what Jordan Peele looked like before ok!

Anyway it made me wonder why I don't recall seeing Key in any of his films, even a small role. I was hoping it wasn't that they'd had a falling out.

All I really have to say is that making and maintaining friendships as an adult is hard.

Speak on it. We underestimate the power of going to school together and living nearby.

So much!

I don't have any "regular" places other than work, and as much as I'd like to develop friendships elsewhere, I can't just "strike up a conversation" with a complete stranger at a cafe/bookshop/Bumble. My hobbies are mostly solo and I haven't found any group activities near me that work with my schedule AND pique my interest AND are affordable, so womp womp.

definitely. And working together. That forced closeness, where you see coworkers more hours a day than your own family.

“Our evolution, I think, is tied to both of what our desires are,” continues the Transformers One star. “His desire was to start exploring the horror genre, and my desire was to do more dramatic work like I had been trained in school.”

Not a fan of Transformers in general but the film has 88% positive reviews on RottenTomatoes so he could have picked worse films to be in.

I just thought it was funny they called him that when he says he's picking dramatic roles.

Yeah I think it’s becoming clear why it went its separate ways.

Lol people magazine is so shady for this 🤭🤭🤭🙈
