Just a lot of people who think because it never happened to them or someone they know (like anyone would tell them with their attitude) it doesn't happen at all. These are the same people who never had a real experience with the police and think it's like television where they give a shit and actually charge the person who assaulted you.

This, right here. It wasn't until I had to deal with the police that I realised just how useless they are. They can't do shit to prevent things from happening, but they sure can after an irreversible act takes place.

I am so tired of hearing people ask victims why they didn’t go to the police. The answer is so grotesquely obvious that the only reason people ask is to cast doubt or victim blame.
