I didn't finish King the Land but I did like what I saw just thought it dragged out too long.

One I did make it through was Love to Hate You and despite it being very weird sometimes. I thought the characters were charming for the most part + it was nice to see some acknowledgement of the misogyny problem in SK.

I'm currently watching Love Next Door, with Jung Hae-In and Jung So-Min--I really liked him in Something in the Rain (which everyone should watch) so I picked it up. And I've liked Jung So Min in everything I've seen her in (Because This is My First Life was so good), so far I'm enjoying it because there's a lot of great b-storylines.

Thirty Nine is a big favorite of mine because it really spoke to me as a woman of a certain age. Son Ye-Jin always picks such good projects, which is initially why I tuned in, but that show had me crying every episode.

I have Good Partner waiting in the wings, it's a show with two female leads and I like both of the actresses so I shortlisted it to watch. Nam Ji-Hyun is someone whose work I always check out, but Jang Na-Ra being the other lead made me want to watch.

I generally only watch dramas from tvN, JTBC, or OCN because the production quality is usually higher than the networks, and I really cannot stand the weird sanitized romance scenes they do either.

i HEAVILY agree with watching mainly dramas from tvn, JTBC, and OCN. like you said they tend to be a little less sanitized. especially if the main topic isnt romance

Like, we are talking about adults, doing adult things! I get that KBS/SBS/MBC have to consider that kids are possibly watching or w/e, but the weird barely-touching kiss with the camera rotating around them so you realize they're just holding that position for a minute, it's so fucking weird.

I’ve been watching Romance in the House and it literally took me like 5 episodes to realize that was Son Na Eun from A-Pink which is sad because she is my favorite from that group!

Captivating the King kinda got boring but I like historical dramas and I adore Shin Se Kyung. She deserves an It Girl moment like Kim Ji Won. Queen of Tears started off interesting but then I had to suspend my disbelief a little too much and I really hated how it centered so much around what’s his face’s obsession over her.

lol damn CLOY still making the list all these years later!

Let's see... my favorites that I've watched the past year...

My Demon, Queen of Tears, Lovely Runner, Goodbye Earth, Missing: The Other Side, Ghost Doctor, Marry My Husband, Killer Paradox, Navillera and Melancholia.

If you're curious about any of the above, let me know and I 'll tell you more about why I loved them and what they're about.

Currently watching and loving: Love Next Door and No Gain, No Love! So those could def make the list of favorite dramas from this past year if they end strong.
