I am more of a cute romance k-dramas casual watcher. How's "No love, no gain" going? Worth checking out? Still hung up on "Lovely Runner"
Any others I should look into?

my favorite kdrama this year (not on us netflix) is lovely runner.
favorite netflix kdramas: move to heaven, our lovely summer, it's okay to not be okay, tale of the nine-tailed, rain or shine, and bloodhounds.

I've started Queen of Tears, Dr. Slump, Love Next Door, and Alchemy of Souls. I can't seem to finish any of them though. I don't know what's wrong, I used to devour dramas. I miss those days.

King of the Land the love story did not make sense to me and that's the main focus so it just fell flat. I was looking forward to the badguy's plans but that also ended up flat af. The alt timeline was cool tho.
Captivating the King was so disappointing!!! I'm still mad about it!! They literally turned her character into one that just makes surprised faces the rest of the show after ep 2. The way they killed her personality is so annoying. The king himself is also??? He waited years to finally start figuring out who killed his bro? And then he goes the wrong direction? She should have left and never turned back; at least then we'd have part of her personality back. It does not make sense for them to be together at the end tbh.
Kdramas seem to be relying more on excellent camera work and long slow scenes to build up ~emotion~ than they are about an actual cohesive story and characterization.
