I have seen none of these 🙈

I am more of a cute romance k-dramas casual watcher. How's "No love, no gain" going? Worth checking out? Still hung up on "Lovely Runner"

Any others I should look into?

I hadn’t watched a kdrama in years, but just on a long flight back from Asia they had the whole 12 eps of Knight Flower so I gave it a go. I really enjoyed it, the leads were great.

i haven't watched any of these, the only one on my list to watch is queen of tears.

my favorite kdrama this year (not on us netflix) is lovely runner.

favorite netflix kdramas: move to heaven, our lovely summer, it's okay to not be okay, tale of the nine-tailed, rain or shine, and bloodhounds.

The fact that Lovely Runner is not on US Netflix KILLS me. I pirated it but like, come ON Netflix, spend the money on the US streaming rights!

I know Netflix is STILL kicking themselves for passing on Lovely Runner. Are there stipulations for how many companies can have the rights? VIU and Viki have the U.S. rights and I know Netflix bought the rights for SEA only.

I’m guessing Netflix will bid for Lovely Runner’s US rights when the Viki deal expires. It’s what I believe happened with Tail of the Nine Tailed. That used to be Viki exclusive until earlier this year. So yeah… maybe in a couple of years it’ll be on Netflix. Idk what possessed them to pass on it but fire whoever passed tbh!!!

Welcome to Samdal-ri will make you laugh and make you cry. It was everything <3

I've started Queen of Tears, Dr. Slump, Love Next Door, and Alchemy of Souls. I can't seem to finish any of them though. I don't know what's wrong, I used to devour dramas. I miss those days.

I only got to ep 4 of Queen of Tears before I dropped it. That man was being abused to hell and back and it was being played off as comedy.

King of the Land the love story did not make sense to me and that's the main focus so it just fell flat. I was looking forward to the badguy's plans but that also ended up flat af. The alt timeline was cool tho.

Captivating the King was so disappointing!!! I'm still mad about it!! They literally turned her character into one that just makes surprised faces the rest of the show after ep 2. The way they killed her personality is so annoying. The king himself is also??? He waited years to finally start figuring out who killed his bro? And then he goes the wrong direction? She should have left and never turned back; at least then we'd have part of her personality back. It does not make sense for them to be together at the end tbh.

Kdramas seem to be relying more on excellent camera work and long slow scenes to build up ~emotion~ than they are about an actual cohesive story and characterization.
