I've noticed that with fundamentally religious people in general, it's very black and white, to sin or not to sin. It's beyond me how they can believe someone robbing a bank is the same type of person and causing the same type of harm as someone sexually abusing children. Yet, somehow, the paedophilic (and by default also extramarital and/or 'homosexual') actions of their spiritual leaders were green lit by the god in question? Maybe common sense and empathy should be stressed more as gifts from god we should cherish, because otherwise it's just sick and disgusting.
