If you are compelled by this there is also an AMAZING documentary called The Woman Who Wasn't There about a woman who faked being in the towers and surviving 9/11. It's crazy.

I really want to watch this but I watched the Towers fall on TV in real-time and it gives me vicious anxiety to watch old footage. Is there a good book about it?

Not that i am aware of, the woman's name is Tania Head if you wanted to look it up, but she definitely coopted a lot of the traumatic stories so it is very triggering.

Thanks so much for the warning. In retrospect, I developed a lot of vicarious trauma around that day and an adult for SURE should have turned the channel. I'll avoid this one and see if there's a long-form or a book.

I hope her ex-wife is okay. This was a real example of how easily abusers manipulate therapists in their favour to trap their victims.

yeah, I hope doing this doc is cathartic for her. The journalist/director seems to care about her wellbeing; I hope that's sincere.

All the other lies are obnoxious and I definitely would feel betrayed as a friend or coworker, but the way she preyed on a vulnerable woman and basically took over from her other abuser was horrifying. I hope Jennifer is doing well.

This woman is batshit crazy, I still can’t believe this happened
