"Family is a life sentence" makes me think of the Royal Tenebaums tagline "Family isn't a word. It's a sentence."

If these were 'funny' moments to get people to see the film... yeah, I didn't laugh.

Sounds like the script is shit. I remember when one could watch a comedy trailer and see something funny.
