Warner Bros once pushed to make ‘BEETLEJUICE 2’ for Max but that idea frustrated Tim Burton.

WB said the film was too risky to make for $147M with a theatrical release, so they had to lower the budget to under $100M

The film has already made $250M worldwide.

I'm shocked this movie isn't a flop. it's terrible. the original is perfection. the sequel made me angry at what a waste of time it was. [Spoiler (click to open)]maybe if they had jenna tricked and kidnapped by that kid at the start and the rest of the film be about winona and beetlejuice trying to resue her and explored the underworld that would have peaked my interest more than rehashed moments from the first film and whatever pointless evil ex wife storyline that went nowhere was

i wish some things were done differently, like the evil ex being utilized more, i swear we'd move to another scene or plot line and then go back to her and im like "oh yeahhhh i forgot about her" and she had the coolest intro imo, like a badass sally

id have gotten rid of the evil ghost boy next door story line and made astrid learn about ghosts in another way that ties into her dad/evil ex better cause he too was seen for like 3 minutes and then over

also would have changed delia's grieving to her bestie otho rather then the husband cause i never got this super tight romance between charles and her anyway but otho being her artsy bestie made more sense. i realize the actor died but im sure they could have found someone to play him or mess his face up so u cant see its a diff actor? idk i just miss otho :(

overall, whenever beetlejuice was on, it was a great time and i like the musical references (tho they kinda went on for a wee bit too long sometimes)
