Oy, I guess most of ONTD was not here the last time. Uglies is not about their physical appearance. NO ONE is good enough and must be changed when they are 16. Watch it or read the book. It is a good story for its time

I stanned this book when I was young. It is a good story and relevant in today's plastic surgery heavy world IMO.

yeah, it's that everyone pre-16 looks like what normal teenagers look like and then after the procedure, all the imperfections that make us humans are removed. like the whole point isn't that they're ugly, it's that they don't fit that society's beauty standards.

I feel like Netflix never adapts anything in a timely manner. I heard they were going to do an ACOTAR adaptation but then nothing since.
