"HYBE, meanwhile, has argued that MHJ's behaviour and use of underhanded tactics have rendered the shareholders' contract invalid."

not sure about the details of the contractual provisions. unless there's a clause that states that using "underhanded tactics" would be sufficient to render the contract invalid or give HYBE the right to terminate, im pretty sure it'll take more than that. HYBE will have to show that she was straight up fraudulent or deceptive in her conduct.

not that im on her side, but im saying these c-suite contracts are typically quite well-negotiated and almost all contingencies would be considered. i don't see how HYBE could argue that her behavior would invalidate the contract unless it was explicitly set out...

The injunction she won basically stated HYBE had insufficient evidence to prove their accusations. The ruling showed that at worst she planned something but did not act, and her actions didn't harm ADOR, which is the big distinction. Plotting against HYBE is not an issue, harming ADOR was. They couldn't prove it.

At this point I would rather NewJeans left ADOR than MHJ returned to it, but she seems to want to fight to continue her contract.

yeah there was definitely conspiring and i get that HYBE wanted to take pre-emptive action but their hands are tied until she actually does something, and then they can then remove her and claim damages or whatever they can under contract

If they thought she was going to do something it probably would have worked better to wait until she actually did anything, they jumped the gun and the evidence they thought they had was challenged pretty easily by her lawyers. It makes sense to me she would want more control of ADOR, so I can believe she thought about it, but it really would have taken Shaman powers to be real for that to actually happen.

Maybe NewJeans themselves? The main characters in this article above are the big evil crappy company vs the (pandering to) pedo(s) creative genius.

Oh good. So my assumption is correct. She's the one that's fine with sexualizing the girls (and I believe had a history of it in the past with boybands) and this company ain't shit. Best luck to the girls.

Yup but there’s a certain subset of ppl who willfully ignore that (even on this site)

At this point NJ should terminate their contract.

As someone who’s mostly been a fan of SM groups, Hybe is no different from any of the other Big 3 companies but I think they don’t have the power/connections to blacklist you like SM so maybe they’ll fare better with the termination.

I def think MHJ made them make that video after this tho. I’ve never seen someone with such a god complex that’s not like LSM or YG lol

Yup, if DBSK was able to go down the way they did, no one is safe. I mean hell,Jessicuh, Baek, Chen and Xiumin are going through it despite being in one of the biggest BG/GG in kpop.

Oh yeah! DBSK is what got me into kpop and they were legitimately mistreated by their company work insane slave contracts and also not being paid their worth. In comparison NJ’s parents and MHJ grievances seem so petty lol Either way after seeing SM blacklist their artists nothing would shock me

The girls themselves are in a rough spot because no one around them cares for them and I do think they’re groomed by MHJ.

It's incredibly telling that the girls spent most of that video begging for MHJ's job back and talking about her while only having a short (and valid) anecdote about their own mistreatment
